The position is responsible for establishing objectives pertaining to total patient care, personnel, medical staff, financial status, public relations, and facilities management under the broad directives of the Cumberland Commissioners. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Administration or related field AND a current Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license.

The ideal candidate will possess an RN license in MA. Leadership and budgetary experience in the acute care or rehab hospital setting.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programming and have excellent communication and written skills.

Currently FHCA is the second largest long term care Association in the nation, with members representing skilled nursing, sub-acute care, assisted living and community-based service providers.

The Executive Director report to the FHCA Board of Directors and will provide leadership to this important long-term care Association. This person will oversee and manage FHCA operations in Tallahassee, Florida, including the hiring and training of staff, insuring production efficiency, quality service, and cost effective management of resources.

The ideal candidate will have completed his/her Master's/Undergraduate degree in business, administration, finance, accounting, health care, or related background and have demonstrated a history of successful experiences in a senior leadership role. The individual must be knowledgeable of the State of Florida and national issues affecting older adult services and those seniors served.

Local Compliance Officer

Candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Finance or allied health related field
  • 5 years’ long term care related healthcare experience
  • Experience managing compliance requirements of government and healthcare regulatory agencies
  • Working knowledge of health care compliance, nursing home management and operations, Medicare and Medicaid payor requirements, health care finance
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including proven ability to make effective formal written and verbal presentations
  • Effective project management skills including proven ability to manage large volumes of written materials and electronic data, produce high quality written documentation (e.g. memos and reports) and data analysis (e.g. Excel spreadsheets)
  • Proven ability to function independently and exercise judgment and leadership in accordance with objective legal and regulatory requirements, under complex and demanding circumstances
  • Established demeanor and work habits consistent with professional-firm (e.g. law, accounting or health care consulting) training and background, together with at least 2 years of actual professional firm, health care senior management, or relevant government agency experience

Position Purpose: The Project Guide will assist the GHRI Co-Directors implement all aspects of GHRI.

  1. Create real estate and financial feasibility tools for the development Green House projects (7.5%)
  2. Create operational and staff training tools for the delivery of services within the Green House projects (7.5%)
  3. Create and implement recruitment tools to identify, qualify, and enroll organizations willing to develop and operate Greenhouse Projects (7.5%)
  4. Create and implement quality assurance tools to monitor and improve outcome for residents and staff in Greenhouse Projects (7.5%)
  5. Deliver real estate development and operational technical assistance to GHRI replication projects (approximately 8-12 per Project Guide at any given time). (60%)
  6. Other tasks as assigned (10%)

Bachelors degree Required, Masters preferred
