Long term care providers across the nation are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents through the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) National Quality Award Program. Grounded in the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, this esteemed program drives improvement in leadership, strategic planning, workforce, customer service, operations, and knowledge management. Participants advance through three levels of recognition—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—each requiring a higher standard of performance excellence.

This summer, AHCA/NCAL announced the names of nearly 900 long term care organizations recognized with a 2025 National Quality Award—665 Bronze awards in 46 states, 210 Silver awards in 40 states, and an elite three Gold awards.
