 Consumer Voice Leader Steps Down

Washington, D.C.—Richard Gelula, executive director of the nonprofit lobbying association National Consumer Voice for Quality in Long-Term Care, is stepping down, Provider magazine has learned.  
“I can confirm the rumor, but I have no comment to make,” Gelula told us in an email Friday.
He joined Consumer Voice in March 2014, charged with leading it in its mission to create “a world in which all consumers of long term care services and supports are treated with respect and dignity and have a wide range of affordable, quality options across all settings.”
The group, formerly known as the National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform, is in its 40th year. It cleared nearly $1.5 million in revenue in 2013, according to the group’s latest tax return.  Consumer Voice’s convention is scheduled for November.
