One thing that has been consistent through the last two years is the unpredictability of COVID-19. Through everything, long term care providers and our partners have consistently gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support for our residents and families. Thank you for all you do every day. And thank you for your support for this publication. Your support – as members, readers and advertisers – makes Provider possible. You are the reason that AHCA/NCAL can continue to share the incredible stories of long term care providers through this magazine.

The new year brings change and new opportunities for Provider. After 26 years with AHCA/NCAL and Provider magazine, Joanne Erickson retired in December 2021. Joanne was an integral part of AHCA/NCAL’s efforts to share important information with long term care providers for more than two decades. Her reporting and editing have put her in touch with providers from coast to coast and helped Provider’s print magazine produce interesting and timely stories about the latest developments in the long term care profession. Joanne will be greatly missed by everyone at AHCA/NCAL, as well as the countless providers she has worked with over the years. I look forward to sharing an announcement soon about new leadership for Provider.

In the meantime, I’m excited to focus on creating more digital content in 2022. While our print magazine has served the profession well for more than two decades, it’s time to shift more of our coverage to the place where our readers spend time – our website. Provider will continue to publish four print issues in 2022, and you can count on many of the same features you have come to enjoy. As a trade publication, one of the most important aspects of Provider is offering content and stories that are relevant and impactful to your life—and our best source of that information is you. Please know that your feedback, ideas, and questions are welcome now and always.

As we embark on this new year, I hope to hear from you and, once again, thank you for all that you do.
