Avalon Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Hamilton, N.J., has named Robert Laurente, MD, as its new medical director.  
Laurente, board certified in internal medicine, possesses more than a decade of medical expertise. “Avalon is fortunate to have Dr. Laurente serve in this key leadership role as it embarks on its next chapter,” said Erin Popelak, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility.

Joby JacobRoosevelt Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Philadelphia, has appointed Joby Jacob, MD, as its medical director. Jacob is affiliated with First Docs, an independent physician-owned practice. His specialties include geriatric medicine, hospitalist medicine, and preventative care.

Collingswood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Rockville, Md., has welcomed Geetha Chilakamarri, MD, CMD, as the new director of its in-place memory care neighborhood and Chronic Illness Support program, featuring palliative care services.  

Geetha Chilakamarri, MD, CMDChilakamarri is triple board-certified in geriatric medicine, family medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine; she also is a certified medical director in long term care. Chilakamarri established and expanded geriatric and palliative care services in both Meritus Medical Center and Frederick Health System.

“Dr. Chilakamarri is highly respected throughout the region for her vast medical expertise and compassionate nature,” said Nikki Gachot, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services.

Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Towson, Md., has appointed Sunit R. Baxi, MD, as medical director. Baxi is board certified in internal medicine and possesses significant medical directorship experience.

Nurse practitioner Tracy Crose-Hamm, CRNP, has also recently joined Orchard Hill’s clinical leadership. “Dr. Baxi and Tracy are both wonderful fits for this center, which offers a warm and welcoming environment to serve the community’s skilled nursing needs,” said Gachot.

Alisa PavlovskyThe Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Freehold, N.J., has welcomed Alisa Pavlovsky as the new liaison for its cultural program for Russian-speaking residents.

The Jewish Home’s cultural initiative for Russian-speaking residents features bilingual caregivers and medical professionals. It also includes authentic cuisine prepared in-house, special recreational activities, a Russian library, and Kartina TV.   

“Alisa is perfect for the role of liaison, and her work goes far beyond translation. She is passionate about the well-being of The Jewish Home’s Russian-speaking residents,” said Kate Bauer, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services.

Meadow Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Catonsville, Md., has welcomed Athol Morgan, MD, to its clinical leadership team; he is serving as co-director of the skilled nursing center’s cardiopulmonary care program.

“Dr. Morgan’s appointment further positions Meadow Park as a skilled nursing provider of choice in the region, particularly in regard to cardiac care,” said Gachot.

Soumya Bollampally, MDMount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Lumberton, N.J., has appointed Soumya Bollampally, MD, as medical director. She is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.

“Dr. Bollampally is highly regarded in the region for her expertise in geriatrics and leadership acumen,” said Bauer.

 GateWay at River City, Peoria, Ill., has appointed Keli Miller as executive director. GateWay at River City provides a variety of amenities to assist with daily living for individuals between the ages of 22 and 64. Both Miller’s professional and personal experiences align seamlessly to step into this position.
