Behavioral Health Solutions Appoints Sarah Dirks as Senior Vice President of Business Development

HENDERSON, Nev. — Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS), a national leader in behavioral and mental health services across the post-acute care continuum, is proud to announce the appointment of Sarah Dirks as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this new role, Dirks will lead the company's strategic planning and growth initiatives, with a primary focus on expanding BHS's market presence and strengthening its national footprint.

With more than 15 years of experience in post-acute care and senior living, Dirks brings a proven track record of success in driving business development and forging impactful partnerships.  Previously, she served as Executive Vice President of Business Development for Pinnacle Quality Insight, now known as Activated Insights—where she was instrumental in scaling the organization's footprint in senior living. Dirks has built lasting relationships with state executives, vendor partners, and industry stakeholders, while establishing herself as a respected thought leader and sought-after speaker on resident experience, employee engagement, and best practices for quality improvement.  She has served on the NCAL board of directors as the ABM Representative since October 2023, with a focus on advancing senior living initiatives and advocacy.

“Sarah's ability to connect strategy, data, and relationships to deliver meaningful impact makes her a perfect fit for our next chapter," said Bill Treese, CEO of Behavioral Health Solutions. “Her depth of knowledge in post-acute care and senior living, along with her passion for innovation, will help propel our mission to new heights."

Founded in Henderson, Nevada in 2017, Behavioral Health Solutions has become a trusted provider of comprehensive behavioral health services for post-acute, long-term care, and senior living communities. With a multidisciplinary team of licensed mental health professionals, the company offers psychiatric care, counseling, medication management, and behavioral interventions tailored to the unique needs of residents in skilled nursing facilities and other care environments.  They prioritize a whole-person, non-pharmacological approach wherever possible-helping residents manage mental health challenges with compassion and dignity, while supporting facility staff with timely coordinated care. More recently, BHS is leading efforts nationwide to broaden access to behavioral health in the post-acute market through advocacy, development of innovative reimbursement programs, and lobbying state governments for meaningful change. These efforts continue to expand the impact of BHS on the lives of seniors.

“I feel incredibly honored to be the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Behavioral Health Solutions," said Sarah Dirks. “This opportunity allows me to further grow in the post-acute care and senior living space by directly impacting the experience of residents and families throughout the care continuum. While data analytics will always be the cornerstone of my work, it's more than just a passion, it's a powerful tool that will guide my decisions in this role.  I look forward to leveraging data-driven insights to shape strategy, inform growth initiatives, and ultimately enhance the experience of residents and families across the continuum.   I'm excited to use that knowledge to support a national platform for behavioral health that improves outcomes and elevates the resident experience through data-driven research and strategic growth."
